Old
Buckhurst Garden - Visitors' commentsA Few Extracts from our
Visitors' Book
Several visitors have been kind
enough to say the
Garden at
Old Buckhurst is the new Sissinghurst! We find this embarrassing
as no garden can compare
with
Sissinghurst but there is a similarity in that Old Buckhurst used to be
a Farm
and we were fortunate to inherit the old Farmyard Walls.
This has helped to form separate areas:
hence
the comparison with Sissinghurst.

2010 Letter from Tour: Your
introductory talk was quite a highlight of the visit. Everyone
said how interesting and lively it was as an introduction to going
round the
garden. You had given us an insight into how you had come to make
the
garden as it is today - a mass of colour, many unusual plants and
flowers, all
was delightful. We also enjoyed the opportunity to acquire
some special plants to take
home for our own gardens. Many pleasant
memories and we shall no doubt re-visit before too long. All the best
to you and your husband (and daughter) who made us feel so
welcome. Sevenoakes, Kent
